The vast majority of respondents are willing to spend more time prolonging their healthy life.

A new study by Manulife shows that they find it difficult to meet this challenge because of rising health care costs and personal financial pressure. According to the 2023 Manulife Asia Nursing Survey, the average retirement age for Asians is expected to be 60 and a decline in health is expected from the age of 63, which means that the so-called healthy life expectancy (the life cycle without age-related disability and chronic diseases in good health) is expected to be three years after retirement. The vast majority of respondents (92%) said they were willing to spend more time extending their healthy life. Taking part in exercise and eating healthily are the main ways for people to seek to improve their health. Along with the health plan, most of the respondents had personal financial goals, and cash savings and bank deposits (81%) were considered to be the main ways for people to achieve their goals. The majority of respondents (70%) are confident of achieving their financial goals, while only 14% do not expect to achieve them. (financial opinion)
